Title | Count von Lahnstein |
Ansgar von Lahnstein I was a Count von Lahnstein, who lived from 1595 to 1670. He had a stone with an inscription dedicated to him in the Lahnstein forest. He lived during the 30 year war, in which he lost Königsbrunn to the enemy, but won it back later on. According to certain written sources, he was a treacherous and vindictive despot, who, after an affair with a maid, had her sent away while she was pregnant in the 8th month. Both the woman and the child died. But he was still loved by his people.
